Hobby Essentials

The basics of crafting don’t need to be overly complicated. You can make some really nice things with just a knife, glue and foam.

3D Printing

This is something I’ve come to love over the years, especially with the improvements in quality lately. 3D Printing has featured in a few of my favorite videos. I’ve really enjoyed being able to just design all the extra details complete a scene, and be able to print them here at home.

Power Tools

Power tools have been a must for all my larger builds over the years. they’ve made short work of a job that would take far longer by hand. The rotary tool especially (sometimes referred too as a Dremel) has been a must for detail works and cleaning up mistakes. I’d definitely recommend getting one!

Terrain Making

There’s so many great techniques for making terrain, but one I discovered recently was Shaper Sheet. A light weight but durable product that can shape terrainscapes like hills and steep terrain. I used it quite heavily in my Shire build. This product, and the many others I’ve used from Woodland Scenics, keep me coming back to them because they’re such a great and versatile set of products.
